Dear Boys (specific and non-specific),
I just wanted to apologize for my behavior. I'm sorry that I couldn't be all those things I promised I would be.
I didn't realize how much being in the middle of it all would change my attitude toward the situation.
Nevertheless, I've learned my lesson. Instead of the list of promises, I have only one to offer you now: I promise to always listen and always work.
I think that's the best anyone can do anyway.
